Julian Jackson (he/him)

Julian is delighted to serve as the Assistant Director for the Chesick Scholars Program. In his role, he manages the LIFTFAR (Low Income, First in their Families, Assistance and Resources) Program, oversees The Nest food pantry for LIFTFAR-eligible students, and supports the work of the Chesick director. Prior to working with the Chesick program, he served as the graduate assistant and Interim Program Coordinator for the Office of Academic Resources.

Growing up in Norristown, PA and later moving into Philadelphia (currently Wynnefield), Julian received his bachelor’s degree in Communication with a triple-minor in Spanish, Black American Studies, and Journalism from the University of Delaware in the spring of 2017. After taking a gap year, he continued his education at Temple University, where he obtained his master’s degree of education in Higher Education. As a FLI student himself, Julian’s goal in the Higher Education field has always been to make a positive impact on the lives of the upcoming generations of first-generation and/or low-income students.

When not a work, he enjoys tending to his balcony garden, watching anime, and spending time with his wife, Alexandra, as well as their puppy, Lilo, and their cat, Coco.
