Proposal Information and Submission

This year’s 2024 Consortium on High Achievement & Success Students of Color Leadership Conference, will hosted by the Tri-Co Consortium (Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, and Swarthmore College) on April 5th-7th. The conference theme, “Renaissance: In the Wake of (Re)imaginings, Movements, and Joy,” celebrates movements, creativity, and resilience. The weekend will include workshops, panels, tours, and performances, as well as our keynote speaker, Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts, author of Black Joy: Stories of Resistance, Resilience, and Restoration.  It will be focused on acknowledging and amplifying the joy that exists within our communities.

Proposal Guidelines

Here are some highlights regarding the request for proposals:

  • The deadline to submit a proposal is midnight on February 25th.
  • The sessions, which can be a workshop or panel, are 50 minutes long and need to focus on ideas of identity, healing and transformation, joy, and other topics that fit within the theme of Renaissance: In the wake of (Re)imaginings, Movements, and Joy.
  • Proposals need to take up the theme through the lens of one of the following tracks:
      • Joy and rest as resistance: (Re)envisioning wellness, self-care, and resilience
      • Artivism, sound, and movements: (Re)fashioning the ways we organize and advocate for change
      • (Re)imagining what’s possible for ourselves, our institutions, our communities, and our world
